In a letter to the City of Seward, Hamilton Construction, the contractor selected to repair storm damage and install mitigation measures along Lowell Point Road, work will begin Friday, Feb. 14. During the project traffic delays and road closures will be necessary said Hamilton Construction.

During the following times, Hamilton says they will coordinate one-lane road access and attempt to keep delays under 15 minutes; 7-9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 5-8 p.m.

Hamilton also says during closures, emergency responders and service providers will have unrestricted access.

Construction activates are planned for a four to six-hour widow around low tide. Upcoming daytime low tides beginning Friday are; 11:11 a.m., 12:18 p.m., 1:38 p.m., 3:05 p.m. and 4:19 p.m. Drivers are asked to plan accordingly.

The Seward Journal lists weekly tides on page 12 of each week’s paper. We will also add them to our website, www.sewardjournal.com for easy viewing.
