Alaska State Troopers say that the three Erickson children and their non-custodial mother, Melissa Salgado, have been located in Cordova and are safe.
Troopers say that after investigation and consultation with the Kenai District Attorney's office, Melissa Salgado, 40 of Seward, and Jeffrey Erickson, 46 of Seward, were both arrested and charged with custodial interference in the second degree. Erickson was remanded to the Seward Jail. Salgado was remanded to the Cordova Jail. The children were returned to OCS custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
