Seward Parks & Rec will host a RC Car Race on Saturday, Jan. 23, 10 a.m. to noon at Branson Pavilion. The race is for participants aged 8-13. Entry is $5 and registration can be completed at https://seward.recdesk.com/
Overnight parking is prohibited on Fourth and Fifth avenues between Adams Street and Railway Avenue and on Third Avenue between Monroe and Railway on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for street cleaning. The east side of the road will be done on Tuesdays and the west side on Wednesdays.
“Waves Over Seward,” a movie about the 1964 earthquake plays daily at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Zudy’s Café, 501 Railway Avenue, next to the SeaLife Center. The event is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Seward Library.
