OPEN POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Cooper Landing Emergency Services (CLES) is seeking applicants for the position of:

Administrative Assistant:  This is a regular, part-time (8-10 hours per week), office-based position.  This position serves as the primary financial role for the agency.  

Responsibilities include:

General Bookkeeping:

Maintain day-to-day accounting tasks: receivables/payables/payroll

Financial reporting – monthly, quarterly & annual

Budget preparation including capital and special projects

Reporting monthly expenditures versus budget 

Consultation with Agency’s accounting firm – annual tax filing, 990s 

Consultation with EMS billing agency – update patient billing activities

Participate in monthly Board of Directors meetings

Maintain all State of AK and Federal certifications/licensures current for Fire & EMS

Develop and maintain readily accessible document filing system

Maintain current files of all active volunteer fire/EMS members 

Organize & assist with fundraising events & activities

Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED; Valid Alaska State DL; Three years of progressive responsibility for office administration with public contact plus two years general accounting experience; excellent computer skills including developing/maintaining databases and spreadsheets; excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks™ Online & Microsoft™ Office Suite of Tools.
