Michael was born Feb. 27, 1970, in Lincoln, Maine. He got his GED and furthered his education by taking some college classes. Michael moved to Seward in 1995 where he worked for Icicle Seafoods from the time he moved to Seward up until the present day. He loved traveling, hiking, biking, and music.
His work at Icicle Seafoods received commendations from both his co-workers and government inspectors. He traveled internationally in his down time, inspired by all the worldwide friends he made at work. He was always one to notice all the wonders life had to offer. And to have him as a friend, you had a loyal friend for life.
He is survived by his sister, Jessica York of Vancouver, Canada; mother, Lucie York of Interlachen, Fla.; brother, Montana York of Bainbridge, Ga.; father, Larry Sumner York, Sr. of Maine; brother, Larry York, Jr. of Maine and daughter, Deja Lotus Blossom.
