Edward W. Post

Anchor Point resident Edward W. Post, 75, passed away on Saturday, Apr. 3, 2021 due to cancer and other medical conditions.

A celebration of his life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Apr. 24, at the V.F.W. Post #10221, 72551 Milo Fritz Rd., Anchor Point. A potluck will follow the ceremony.  Please call 235-2360 and leave a message if you have any questions.

He managed his fight until the end with strength and grace, just like he did with all of his life experiences.

K.I.S.S. was one of his mottos, and his boat’s name.

Edwards’s final days were with immediate family and in the home he built himself. He was an honorable man and a distinguished Navy Veteran. He even spent a year in Antarctica during operation Deep Freeze.

His largest career of 45 years was in the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, where he was an elite member of Lodge #502.

He is survived by his son, Justin W. Post and fiancé, Liz Roderick of Anchor Point; grandsons, Tyler C. Post and Riley J. Post; granddaughter, Tianna K. Post; all of Homer; ex-wife, Wilma L. Post of Washington; brother, William “Skip” Reutter of Homer; nieces, Marie Richards of Upper New York, New York, and Marta Ellen of Rochester, New York; and nephew, Paul Sherman of New Jersey, New York.
